Double Gable Cape

BEFORE

Project overview

The distinctive design of this residence originated from the existing gable configuration of the 1½-story cape, which was essentially mirrored to create a double gable, thereby expanding its square footage. The entrance was relocated from the roadside elevation to the driveway side of the home, and is enhanced by a covered porch. The newly constructed wing of the home houses the dining room, new kitchen, and ensuite master bathroom. Additional interior renovations were undertaken to accommodate the new entry, provide additional storage, and establish a first-floor laundry facility. On the second floor, a new bedroom and bathroom now harmoniously complement the existing bedroom and loft office.
