Bristol Cape Remodel & Addition

BEFORE

Project overview

This modest cape house underwent a significant transformation with the addition of a substantial rear structure. This expansion includes a living room with a cathedral ceiling and transom windows, a newly constructed dining room, and an expansive kitchen. The addition features ample glass windows that offer views of the backyard and the newly installed patio. The design was meticulously crafted to accommodate the reconfiguration of the second-floor stairway, which now creates a striking focal point with a second-floor dormer that illuminates the new foyer. The bluestone entrance porch, adorned with oversized post and beam columns, imparts a streetwise presence that was previously absent from the property.
