Barrington Bungalow

BEFORE

Project overview

We meticulously designed the addition to this 1920s craftsman-style bungalow, ensuring seamless integration with the existing architecture. The primary objective was to enhance the circulation and create a master bedroom wing. Additionally, we elevated the tight second-floor ceiling, providing ample headroom which was relevant in designing the second floor circulation. Additionally, a shed dormer was incorporated to augment the available space, and a new, dramatic stairway was installed to accentuate the newly defined entryway. The side porch was strategically added to connect the side entrance to the driveway area. Throughout the addition, new windows and decorative elements were meticulously crafted to harmoniously complement the existing house, resulting in an addition that seamlessly blends into the fabric of the original historic home.
