“Building a house on the island of Martha’s Vineyard is not an easy task. There are many restrictions and environmental specifications that must be adhered to. Brian patiently worked with us to explore every possible option and create our perfect floor plan... both for practicality and beauty. We had a very detailed and long list of special custom requests, and Brian worked endlessly to fulfill a custom house built specially for our family. He is patient and thoughtful about using the proper materials and researching the product that is best for the client. We are thankful to Brian for helping us make our dream house a reality.”

“Thor Studios did a fantastic job on our home renovation. We met with Brian and gave him a long wish list. Our house was built in 1869 and the first floor consisted of three small rooms that didn’t function well. We wanted to add a great room, a gourmet kitchen, dining area and grand foyer. We also wanted the old staircase replaced with a new staircase that would make an impression when you entered the foyer. In addition to that, we wanted an open floor plan, lots of windows, reoriented house sight lines as to face the rear yard, and a raised stone patio to wrap around the back of the house. We also asked him to completely strip all the exterior details of the main house and restore it to its original Greek Revival glory. Blending the old house with the new addition was challenging. It was crucial for us that the addition blended into the original house seamlessly, while maintaining its historical bones and beauty.
Brian took on all of these challenges with enthusiasm. He listened to all of our needs and hit every point. As creative people ourselves, we are probably more demanding than most clients. We wanted the interior of the home to have a transitional appearance. We wanted to honor the time period of the home, but we also wanted the spaces to be casual and family friendly. We wanted contemporary finishes but traditional details. Brian took on this challenging direction and gave us exactly what we wanted. Every person from family to our local pizza deliveryman has complimented us on our home. Our goal was to bring out the potential we thought the house had, and Brian surpassed what we thought was possible.

Renovation is stressful and requires that you work with many contractors and trades people. Brian was instrumental in helping us find the best people, and helped coordinate and direct many of them. Out of all the people involved in the project, we would have to award Brian the highest accolades. He is talented, collaborative, and supportive beyond what’s expected. He is always on schedule, professional, and has the highest integrity. We are grateful for his help in transforming our home from the biggest eyesore on the street, to the jewel of the neighborhood. I would highly recommend him and he would be at the top of our list next time we build or renovate.”
